Small changes, with a new feature
I made some small changes, and a big one.
One small change, now blood works correctly and walls will become stained after combat.
The other small change is that now, when you're skipping a cutscene, a progress bar for the skip appears, thought it looks pretty.
Now for the big change, you might've noticed it, now weapons have ammo and have to be reloaded.
Now this, initially, was an experimental feature, but it has evolved into what I believe will be a core game mechanic, because as I said on the last devlog, I like the direction the game is taking, where it is shaping out to be a game where you have separate encounters with enemies and you can enter these encounters at any point in the game and win them no matter what, since you'll most likely enter full health, but now, you'll have a "limited" amount of ammo for each encounter, since you can run out, and reloading takes enough time that it can actually kill you.
This has created two effects, now the pistol is not useless, since if you run out of ammo on your main weapons, you can fall off on the pistol that still has ammo, as they say, "switching to your pistol is always faster than reloading", and here that's true.
The other effect is that encounters are more dynamic now, if you aren't careful and end up with no ammo, you have to fall off and reload or swich to another weapon, in these situations anything can happen, the enemy can push and kill you, or you could be in the brink of death, but emerge victorious, to me, that's a really good, naturally developed mechanic, I love it.
I hope that anyone who plays the game also feels this way, if you do, leave a comment with feedback on what you think!
